Netzley-Yender House being transported

A BRIEF HISTORY

The roots and early culture of Lisle are still alive at The Museums at Lisle Station Park!

OUR MISSION: It is the mission of The Museums at Lisle Station Park (A Lisle Park District Facility) to preserve and interpret the dynamic history of Lisle that inspires and involves the community through research, programs and exhibits.

The Museums at Lisle Station Park provide visitors the opportunity to learn about the culture of 19th Century Northern Illinois. Settled in 1832, the life of this agricultural community soon revolved around the railroad depot that was built in the 1860s. The area became quickly known as Lisle Station.

The Museum was established in 1978 to provide a home for the community's historic train depot. The museum campus grew to include the Netzley/Yender farmhouse from the mid-1800s, the Beaubien Tavern from the 1840s, an 1880s Waycar and a 1900s Barn. All our historic buildings have been moved to Station Park and all but the Barn are originally from Lisle.
